Zachary Community School District has developed the DIVE Summer Technology Challenge to prepare students to be thriving 21st Century Learners. The DIVE Program will consist of a variety of summer programs to challenge students, and engage them in activities designed to provide them with enrichment in digital skills. 

The Summer typing challenge is open to incoming 2nd through 8th grade students. These students will participate in typing practice, and receive awards for increasing their proficiency and attaining grade level appropriate typing goals. All eligible students will be enrolled in the typing practice program, and may use their existing Zachary Community School District logins and passwords to access the program through links on the district and school websites.

Students in grades K-12 will be participate in grade level appropriate Hour of Code™ activities from Code.org. Each tutorial is designed to expose students to computer science and coding activities. Students will earn prize entries for each hour of code activity completed.
